This notice describes the processing of personal data connected with OMNIA SHIELD SUITE, an Android digital-security application designed around data minimisation, transparency, user control and local processing of personal content.

2. Local-first principle and OMNIA Intelligence

SMS, email/social notification content, analysis results, counters, preferences, local history and SOS recordings are not automatically uploaded to OMNIA servers for analysis.

OMNIA may download technical updates, signatures, indicators or security rules used to update the local detection engine. Personal user content is not sent to those sources to obtain a classification.

The app does not directly access complete email inboxes or full conversations in third-party applications. Notification-dependent modules analyse information made available by Android after the user voluntarily grants Notification Access.

3. Data processed on the device

Depending on enabled modules and permissions, the app may locally process:

technical call information made available through the screening role;
notification title, sender, source application and preview;
whether numbers are present in contacts, within Android limitations;
contacts voluntarily selected as trusted or SOS contacts;
location requested during a user-initiated SOS;
audio and video voluntarily recorded during SOS;
files or content voluntarily shared with OMNIA;
settings, switch states, counters, technical events and risk results;
language, theme and other local preferences.

4. Notification Access

Notification Access is optional and is enabled by the user in Android settings. It may be required for SMS, Email, Social, Cyberbullying, Youth Protection and Sensitive Content features.

Information obtained through this access is used for enabled security functions, not for advertising, data sales or commercial profiling. Revoking the permission limits dependent modules.

5. Calls, contacts, location and SOS

Call Protection may use Android’s screening role to assess calls and apply user-configured rules. Contacts access is used to distinguish known numbers and allow voluntary selection of trusted or emergency contacts.

Location is used for SOS only when the user voluntarily enables the SOS GPS function and grants the relevant Android permissions. OMNIA may prepare an SMS for configured SOS contacts and open the required Android tools; sending and sharing remain under the user’s control.

WhatsApp sharing is separate from the SMS flow and is started voluntarily. When the user shares information through SMS, WhatsApp, email, maps or another service, subsequent processing depends on the selected external service.

6. SOS Recording: camera and microphone

Local SOS Recording is disabled by default and requires explicit in-app consent. Depending on the selected mode, Android may request Microphone permission or Camera and Microphone permissions.

Recording can start only in connection with an SOS manually initiated by the user. During a user-initiated SOS recording, audio and/or video may continue to be captured while OMNIA is not visible in the foreground. Android keeps a persistent notification informing the user and provides a STOP control. The planned maximum duration is 3 minutes, followed by automatic stop.

Recordings are stored locally on the device in SOS Recordings. The user can open, voluntarily share or delete them. OMNIA does not automatically send audio or video to contacts, OMNIA servers or third-party services.

7. License Engine, Firebase and device identifier

To activate and maintain the Trial, Free plan, Basic, Premium, Family, Organization Starter, Organization Plus and Enterprise, transfers and device slots, OMNIA uses Firebase services and a License Engine.

Technical data may include a pseudonymous device identifier, a pseudonymous OMNIA Support ID associated with the licence, plan/licence status, first-activation and Trial expiry dates, slot status, technical tokens/references required for verification or transfer, and technical purchase-verification data.

These data do not include SMS, email or social-notification content, the complete address book, SOS recordings or local analysis history.

For complimentary administrative Basic, Premium or Family licences, the License Engine may record the assigned plan, grant date and technical references required to manage the licence; no Google Play purchase is required.

8. Google Play purchases

Personal licences and any permanent add-ons are digital products handled through Google Play according to release availability. Google Play manages payment, receipts, refunds and the purchasing account. OMNIA receives only the technical data needed to verify the purchase and assign the licence or entitlement; it does not receive complete payment-card details.

9. Trial, plans and transfer

The Trial lasts 14 days from the recorded first activation. At expiry, the app moves to the Free plan unless a valid permanent licence exists. Licence transfer concerns licence rights; local data, counters, history, contacts and SOS recordings are not automatically transferred.

10. Purposes and legal bases

Processing is carried out to provide requested functions, save preferences, protect the user from potentially risky events, verify Trials/purchases/licences, prevent abuse, manage support and comply with legal obligations. Legal bases may include performance of the service, consent, legitimate interests in security and abuse prevention, or legal obligations.

11. Recipients and sharing

OMNIA does not sell personal data. Necessary technical data may be processed by strictly required providers, including Google Play and Firebase, under their respective roles and terms.

Locally analysed personal content and SOS recordings are disclosed to third parties only when the user voluntarily starts a sharing action or when disclosure is legally required.

12. Retention

Local data, including SOS recordings, remain on the device until the user deletes them, clears app data or uninstalls the app, subject to any operating-system backup mechanisms not controlled by OMNIA.

Licence and Trial data are retained as necessary to preserve purchased rights, manage transfers, prevent abuse and meet applicable obligations.

13. Security

Reasonable measures are used, including encrypted channels, Firestore access rules and pseudonymous technical identifiers. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their device and choose carefully when sharing an SOS recording.

14. Minors

The app is intended for adults. Features concerning minors must be configured and used by a parent or guardian in compliance with applicable law and without covert or unlawful surveillance. SOS Recording is not designed for secret or continuous recording.

15. GDPR rights and data deletion

Where applicable, data subjects may exercise access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and consent-withdrawal rights by writing to info@omniashield.com.

Data stored only on the device, including SOS Recordings, can be managed and deleted directly in the app or through Android settings. For any technical licence or support data stored on OMNIA services, the user may request deletion by writing to info@omniashield.com, subject to legal obligations and the need to maintain valid licence rights or prevent abuse. A complaint may be lodged with the competent data-protection authority.

16. International transfers

Use of Google Play and Firebase may involve processing outside the European Economic Area under safeguards adopted by the relevant providers. OMNIA does not independently transfer local analysis content or SOS recordings to its own servers.

17. Changes

This notice may be updated to reflect technical, legal or organisational changes. The applicable version is the one published in the app and on the official website.
